Lead SAP Solution Architect | Enterprise IT | DubaiOverview of the roleThe Lead SAP Solution Architect, leading the SAP Solution Architecture team, is responsible for owning the overall High-Level Design of the SAP projects, including the migration from ECC 6.0 and related technologies to RISE S/4 Hana, ensuring the technical, functional considerations and the non-Functional requirements are correctly captured and mapped.Additionally, they will ensure that the interdependencies amongst various SAP Rise streams are identified, highlighted and solved in a timely manner avoiding impact on overall SAP Rise implementation roadmapFurthermore, responsible to ensure that the design aligns to AFG Architecture Principles, Technical Standards, as well as the Enterprise Architecture governance.Finally, the solution architect should follow up the project through its realisation process ensuring that the implemented solution complies with the architectural design, and be the ?go-to? person for the solution of technical issues.ÿWhat you will do

• Lead the SAP Solution Architecture team
• Responsible for designing SAP solutions that meet Functional and Non-Functional requirements whilst adhering to Architecture principles and Technology standards.ÿ
• Provide architecture and design guidance to the System Integrator to develop, configure and implement the solution as per the product development and architectural standards, to meet business requirements
• Perform functional impact assessment identifying interdependencies between products and projects
• Monitor the work of the technical team and ensure standards are adhered to
• Ensure technical integrity of projects, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged, and that work is not duplicated
• Work with and advise the QA team on the design of test plans and test cases
• Accountable for owning the design and creating the required documentation to submit to the Solution Design Approval Forum in in order to get design approval
• Takes the lead in ensuring the Non-Functional requirements are correctly captured
• Promotes reusability of existing solutions by adopting approved design patterns
• Facilitate design thinking workshops with key stakeholders of all levels to help define the problem statement with both Business and IT
• Responsible for signing off on the Non-Functional testing ensuring the correct types of testing are conducted as per the application type (e.g. customer facing transaction application requires performance testing)
• Identify architecture related risks, putting the correct mitigation plan in place and managing until resolution, whilst reducing customisation by implementing standard SAP features.
• Ensure that the technical debt in target landscape is avoided. If not, all such decisions are well documented and approved by the chief architect / architecture team
• Responsible for ensuring that all integrations with SAP systems are moved to the target state aligning with the Integration architecture transition/target state in conjunction with the integration architect/lead
• Responsible for ensuring that all reporting and analytics based on SAP data are moved to the target state aligning with the data architecture transition/target state in conjunction with the data architect
