The Project Land Surveyors work directly under the supervision of the Senior Architect and the Resident Engineer and works in close co-ordination with the concerned Engineer (Civil/ Structural/Materials/Utilities/Electro-mechanical). Surveyor?s duties are assigned according to their technical abilities such as Instrument man, Rodman, etc.Accuracy and efficiency are imperative in construction surveying operations. Each surveyor, regardless of assigned duty, should independently check and double-check all rod readings, instrument readings, calculations and measurements as the work progresses. All calculations and measurements are to be signed by the originator and checker.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist concerned Engineer in verification and checking of shop drawingsVerification & routine checks of control points and bench marksVerification of setting out of worksRecording of initial and final levels of worksVerification of earthwork cross sectionsTake measurement of works inspected.Review of As Built Record Drawings
