SUGAR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS A MUST!Job SummaryThe main purpose of the Laboratory Chemist is to safely and effectively be responsible for the analysis on raw materials, process materials, products, by-products, wastes, waters. To ensure all activities are conducted as accurately as possible and the results are properly documented and relayed on time to all concerned.Job ResponsibilitiesEssential duties, responsibilities and accountabilities1. Responsible for all the analysis (physical and chemical determinations) being conducted at the Laboratory. Ensure that the methods and procedures used conform as per ICUMSA guidelines.2. Responsible for the log and check of the analysis results ensuring accuracy of lab results.3. Responsible for the immediate and timely issuance of Non-Conformance Reports to those concerned.4. Prepare standard solutions and other items needed for the above mentioned determinations.5. Ensure checks and repair of laboratory apparatus and equipment to ensure accuracy /correctness of analytical results.6. Inform immediate superior from time to time of any deviations / abnormalities occurring within the area of responsibility and record them in the logbook for reference.7. Maintain good housekeeping, cleanliness and orderliness within the area of responsibility as per company standards.
