You will play a crucial role in supporting the civil design activities specifically for solar power projects in the Dubai region. Your primary responsibility will be to design and optimize the civil infrastructure necessary for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring compliance with DEWAs guidelines and regulations. You will work closely with a team of engineers and professionals to ensure the successful completion of solar EPC projects while meeting DEWAs requirements.Job Qualifications 1. Civil Design: Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and optimize civil design plans for solar PV projects, following DEWAs specifications and guidelines. This includes site layout, foundations, structural support, and other related components.2. Site Assessment: Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate factors such as topography, soil conditions, shading, and accessibility. Incorporate these factors into the design process to ensure the efficient and effective use of the site.3. Structural Design: Contribute to the design and specification of structural components, such as mounting systems, racking, and frames, ensuring their stability and durability in various environmental conditions. Follow DEWAs standards and regulations for structural design.4. Foundation Design: Assist in the design and specification of solar PV foundation systems, including pile foundations, ground-mounted systems, and ballast structures. Ensure compliance with DEWAs guidelines and regulations.5. Permitting and Compliance: Collaborate with DEWA and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for solar PV projects. Ensure all civil design aspects meet DEWAs requirements and align with relevant codes and regulations.6. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, following DEWAs documentation standards. Maintain accurate records of design changes, revisions, and project progress.7. Project Coordination: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and construction professionals, to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless integration of civil design elements.8. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to verify compliance with design specifications, DEWAs guidelines, and industry best practices. Conduct site visits and inspections as needed, adhering to DEWAs regulations.9. Research and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest developments, trends, and innovations in civil engineering practices for solar PV systems as per DEWAs requirements.
