Job Description

Local Unit & Position DescriptionThe EMEA Pipeline Consulting delivery unit delivers pipeline product solutions systems and associated services for pipeline operators and management across EMEA. We are looking for a junior colleague to join our team in Loughborough, Oslo or ME. As a Junior Engineer, you will develop skills and knowledge to help with delivery our solutions for our pipeline customers, and build skills and knowledge, developing a career path within DNV.You will work alongside a multi-skilled team, and tasks will include:

  • Configuration and delivery of solutions and associated services that fully meet customer requirements, within the agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
  • Deliver high quality work for customers, measured through their feedback and reflecting high standards
  • Providing technical expertise to support/lead business development opportunities and future initiatives
  • Production of high quality technical project documentation, presentations and reports as required
  • High customer satisfaction, building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
Position QualificationsTo qualify for this position:
  • You are a recent graduate or with a few years of experience (including internships)
  • Experience with configuration or programming of software products
  • Interested in delivering real world solutions for real problems for pipeline operators and managers
  • Degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline, Software or similar
  • You are eager to travel for various periods of time, both domestic and foreign locations
  • You are a Team Player
  • You are curious to learn about new disciplines
  • You have good verbal communication skills
  • You are organized, proactive, and results driven, delivering to deadlines
  • You like and are good at problem-solving
  • Can work remotely when required
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Python and/or other scripting languages
  • Experience with IT and installations (Cloud and on premise and hybrid)?
  • Experience with server applications
  • Familiarity with software configuration
  • Familiarity with integration of software systems
  • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS
  • Working knowledge of databases. Able to setup basic queries in applications such as
  • Oracle or SQL Server.
