Duties and responsibilitiesThe Technology Manager?s mission is to lead the technology strategy of PwP and help to scale the product development as well as driving continued innovation to both the company's commercial and product development. Simply, be great at anything & invest the time. Manage expectations, build technology, nurture the business culture and inspiring to his team. This needs someone who is willing to go that extra mile and grind it out. The Role: CTO must work with the CEO and other executives of the core team to develop a technical strategy for the company. This involves goal-setting, discussing options, and analysing risks. Technical strategy must align with company?s overall business objectives; The CTO will need both technical skill and business sense to successfully fulfil this responsibility.? Software development Background: have a degree in computer science and are knowledgeable in system architecture, programming and software design. ? Role flexibility: to be willing to get their hands dirty at first but, as the business grows, the role will often evolve to become more managerial. ? Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies: should be able to evaluate multiple technologies and identify those that are the best fit for the business. ? Hiring & Recruitment: responsible for hiring the core development team, identify & attract developers that aren?t just gifted but will help shape the culture of the business, equally knowing when an employee is not going to work out. ? An understanding of their limitations: A great CTO knows their own limitations but can identify experts to fill these gaps. ? Create positive workplace culture: foster a rewarding and positive workplace culture to promote creative work and a contented team. ? Proven project management skills: should have experience in managing multiple projects while communicating with the development team and other business units. ? Focus on Customer: focus both on internal and external customers. ? Technical Evangelist: Educating the world about technical trends of the future and speaking directly to customers about the business value of our product(s). ? Prior experience in startups. ? Must have worked for 5+ years as a Project or Product Manager or as a Technical or Solutions Architect leading a team of developers. ? Must have prior experience working in Agile Environment as a Lean Practitioner having extensive knowledge in Scrum, Kanban and Devops. ? Must have extensive experience in developing APIs, Web Applications and Backend Application. ? Must have broad experience in developing native mobile applications on iOS and Android Platforms. ? Must have experience in managing cross functional teams by implementing proper communication channels and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SLACK etc ? Must have expertise in implementation of systems that are highly available, scalable, and selfhealing on platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure & Docker. ? Must have sound knowledge in Object Oriented Designing, REST APIs, SOAP APIs and CI/CD Pipelines, Micro Services, NoSQL DB, Redis.? Must have sound knowledge in any of the Frameworks such as Php, .NET / J2EE / Django / Ruby on Rails / Laravel and any of the Programming Languages such as Java, Python, C#, Ruby, NodeJS, GoLang etc.? Should be familiar with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React JS and UI/UX design ? Should be a business savvy and should be up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques ? Should possess a creative mind to develop strategies that meet specific business objectives.? Should have strong English communication and presentation skills.
