Job Description

Inventory OfficerJob Location : Dubai, UAEKey Responsibilities:•Ensure precise tracking of all construction materials, tools, and equipment, updating inventory systems in real-time to reflect any changes.•Collaborate closely with project managers to anticipate material needs, ensuring no delays in construction due to material shortages.•Supervise the receipt of materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and documenting any discrepancies or issues.•Implement and manage an efficient system for organizing and labelling materials in storage, making retrieval quick and straightforward.•Develop and enforce strict protocols for material handling and storage, minimizing waste and preventing damage or deterioration of supplies.•Perform regular physical inventory counts, comparing them against system records to identify and investigate any discrepancies.•Prepare detailed inventory reports, including usage patterns, stock levels, and recommendations for reordering, for presentation to senior management.•Ensure all inventory practices comply with the companys health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular checks and audits.•Manage the return process for unused or excess materials, coordinating with suppliers for credit or restocking.•Maintain accurate records of all tools and equipment issued to workers, ensuring their timely return and documenting any loss or damage.•Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to optimize inventory levels, reducing costs while ensuring availability of necessary materials.•Train and supervise junior inventory staff or warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and efficient operations.•Coordinate with finance teams to provide accurate inventory valuation for financial reporting and project cost analysis.•Oversee the disposal of expired, damaged, or obsolete materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.Requirements:•Diploma in civil engineering or bachelors degree in any discipline related field.•Minimum 4+ years of experience in building construction in UAE.
