Job Description

About the Role:Our client, a leading organization in the˙cement industry, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented˙Internal Control & Compliance Specialist˙to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring adherence to group policies, managing risks, and promoting compliance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments and senior management to enhance internal control processes and address business risks effectively.Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Implement˙group H&S policies, standards, and advisories.
  • Promote safety awareness and actively participate in safety meetings.
  • Engage with employees, subcontractors, and visitors on safety matters.
  • People Management: Support teams in understanding and applying compliance and internal control processes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure compliance objectives are met.
  • Internal Control & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal control guidelines, suggest improvements, and test processes.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and assessment of internal control frameworks.
  • Develop and conduct training on internal control objectives and methodologies.
  • Audit & Reporting: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address risks and audit findings.
  • Provide timely reporting on internal control frameworks and deficiencies.
  • Monitor and support remediation efforts to resolve control deficiencies.
  • Technology & Standardization: Leverage innovative technologies to enhance internal controls.
  • Apply best practices to continuously improve control design and effectiveness.
Working Relationships:
  • Internal: UAE & Oman Departments
  • External: Group, Auditors, Local Authorities, Vendors, and Customers
