Job Description

HSE Advisor | ConstructionOverview of the roleHSE advisor, assist the Senior HSE Advisor in maintaining and protect the health and safety standards of the AFC.What you will do

  • Ensure you are aware of the content s of the site HSE plan.
  • Carry out a daily inspection with project manager or someone designated by theÿproject manager at the start of shift and produce written report.
  • Ensure the daily reports are closed out. ? Carry out a daily ?Focus on Inspection? as directed by Senior HSE Advisor in yourÿarea and ensure any issues found are communicated to the project manager andÿsupervisor for close out.
  • Advise construction team in their areas of any safety issues found and how toÿrectify them.
  • Carry out at least one method statement and risk assessment audit per week inÿyour area and advice supervisors of any non-compliance.
  • Monitor the SOS briefings are being carried out daily by the foremen and chargeÿhands.
  • Assist the project manager with the weekly safety meeting.
  • Assist the engineer/foreman with weekly method statement tool box talks.
  • Carry out weekly safety tool box talks as directed by HSE Manager.
  • Carry out on the job safety training as required. ? Challenge all high-risk activities on site i.e. working at height, confined space etc.
  • Check all permits in your area are valid and being adhered to.
  • Assist the HSE Manager/Senior HSE Advisor for your area as required.
  • Monitor the daily plant inspections in your area. ? Carry out monthly firefighting equipment audits.
  • Monitor the inspection of all safety harnesses in your area of responsibility.ÿ
  • Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructionsÿand controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services andÿenvironmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFCÿ
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of process and practices taking into account, the interests and benefits to Al Futtaimÿand its employees.ÿ
