Job Description

Career Area: Administrative Support JOB PURPOSE: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for developing and executing the HR strategy for the UAE, Oman and Kuwait. Based in Dubai and managing a headcount of 90 employees, he/she serves as the primary contact for the business and function leaders, providing proactive, commercially driven HR support and guidance to meet both the short & long-term company?s objectives. Key responsibilities will include hiring and onboarding, manpower planning, payroll, performance management and employees? motivation, career planning and development, employee grievances and terminations in accordance with the company guidelines and approved business plans. The HR must ensure all HR activities are conducted in compliance with the local regulations and labor laws. The role is restricted to Arabic-speaking candidates with previous UAE, Oman and Kuwait experience in an HR role. JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead the recruitment process including sourcing, screening, arranging for interviews and onboarding. Conduct interviews shortlisting candidates based on requirements from the job description. Define packages for certain positions.
  • Manager the induction and orientation of all new recruits.
  • Coordinate the immigration and visa requirements.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of HR procedures and policies in line with the market best practices and company?s objectives. Monitor the proper implementation of procedures on the ground.
  • Deliver HR initiatives and projects to support the business needs and strategy, such as talent development, employee engagement, management development, organizational change, and compensation & benefits.
  • Guide and coach the managers on employee relations and HR issues in line with the Company policies and best practices, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, redundancy and absence management.
  • Lead the compensation and benefits key initiatives and projects.
  • Advise the supervisors and employees on the more straightforward and routine aspects of compensation and benefits.
  • Together with the business leaders, identify training needs and organize the training programs to ensure maximum efficiency and safety for all employees.
  • Establish and implement in house and external training programs for all categories of staff in technical and non-technical areas in coordination with the business leaders.
  • Create engagement initiatives and new programs to promote the mental health and well-being of all employees.
  • Manage the various insurance policies including the administration, addition and deletion of members, proper entitlement application, medical insurance process assistance.
  • Coordinate with the insurance companies and brokers in relation to renewals, reports and payments.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for inquiries and issues related to payroll. Ensure that the information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Manage the monthly payroll arrangement; work closely with the third party payroll vendor.
  • Apply the existing legislation, rules and regulations efficiently to ensure both the employees and the company are compliant at all times.
  • Keep abreast of the changes in legislation and act as an advisor to management on simple day-to-day issues.
  • Liaise with the internal Legal, external legal counsels and government bodies on HR practices and regulations.
  • Ensure all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied (e.g. regional month reports).
  • Oversee the management of Workday transactions to ensure that all pertinent personnel information is properly captured, effectively managed and maintained at all times.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed for the regional office and operations bases.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor?s degree in any discipline with a background in Human Resources or administration preferred.
  • 5 years of HR generalist experience. Good knowledge of HR best practices in the oil and gas or manufacturing industry - specifically in service companies.
  • Fluent written and oral Arabic.
  • Chartered member of CIPD.
  • Previous employment working in a large multinational company.
  • Self-starter able to operate independently on both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Practical and up to date knowledge of UAE and Oman employment legislations, rules and regulations that impacts employees under employment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and operate in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create, review and revise policies, processes and workflows.
  • Tech-savvy with strong computer skills, particularly with Workday, O365 (Word, Excel).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on stand-alone.
  • Business/Financial acumen, understanding of how product/service turns into revenue and how HR can influence the cost, readiness to impact business results through relevant compliant HR solutions.
