Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced home nurse to provide care for an elderly woman with early stages of Alzheimers / dementia. The ideal candidate will have a background in geriatric care and experience working with Alzheimers / dementia patients. The nurse will be responsible for providing daily care and support to the patient in her home environment. Key responsibilities:

  • Administering medication as prescribed by the patients physician
  • Assisting with activities of daily living, such as dressing and grooming
  • Monitoring the patients vital signs and reporting any changes to the physician
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Communicating with the patients family and physician and ensuring continuity of care
  • Documenting patient care and progress
  • Provide any other personal assistance as needed
