Head of Trading & Risk - lead the trading team from an operations˙& commercial perspective.˙˙Role Description:We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Head of Trading & Risk to join us. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative trading, risk management, and proprietary trading strategies, with a minimum of 10 years experience.As the Director of Trading & Risk, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of trading operations, trading positions, client portfolio and risk management for the entire group.Responsibilities:- Develop and implement proprietary trading strategies to optimize profitability and minimize risk.- Develop and build out core OTC trading mandate, timelines and objectives with senior mgmt.- Sits above risk and p&l of entire OTC trading desk and all books that develop underneath- Drive the evolution of operational fund flows, settlement processes, third-party relationships with vendors etc.- Builds and owns client relationships and works with broader instl sales and trading team to drive incremental OTC flow.- Work with Insti sales team to cross sell, create new services & assets, alongside Compliance.- Manage a team of quantitative analysts and traders, providing guidance and support to drive performance and achieve strategic objectives.- Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities to capitalize on emerging trends and market inefficiencies.- Conduct quantitative analysis to assess risk exposure and develop risk mitigation strategies.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and trading desks, to align trading activities with business objectives.- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to trading and risk management.- Continuously evaluate and enhance trading algorithms and models to adapt to changing market dynamics.- Analyze performance metrics and develop reports to communicate trading results and risk profiles to key stakeholders.- Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the trade and risk management team.
