Your Role:
We have an exciting mandate for Head of Procurement - Fresh Produce for our client?s Supply Chain & Procurement team. Accountable for the sourcing of fresh categories, including the selection, appointment and management of key suppliers.
You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the procurement function and for the day to day operation. The mandate is to make significant and measurable improvements in cost and service quality, whilst seeking continuous internal improvements in process, systems and company engagement.
Your responsibilities will include building and leading a small team of Procurement Professionals to deliver the companies long-term plan, and embedding and maintaining new procurement systems, processes and responsibilities across the wider business functions.
You will also be responsible including the application of best practice procurement across the breadth & depth of the category including provision of market insight, development of category strategies & associated sourcing plans, negotiation and supplier management and Identify key suppliers across the category while establishing supplier management and performance against KPI?s & SLA?s.
