Job Description

Employment: Full Time Head of Operations Logistics up to 40k Aed for a Leading FMCG Company in UAEDirects and over sees operations within the organizations logistics department.Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performanceCreate and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performanceTranslating mid- and short-term strategies into operational reality; aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable resultsReview impact of logistics changes, such as relocation, routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers & make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities and advise of cost implications and efficiencyPlay a lead role in conjunction with the operational team to establish warehouse and material management roadmap which includes developing and implementing industry leading information systems, storage strategies and product handlingPlan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control & identify storagesDrive positive financial outcomes by collaborating and providing guidance to the finance team on the creation of annual budget and shorter-term forecasts/variancesManage the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process, working with Commercial Operations regarding demand estimates REQUIREMENTS: POSITION: Head of Operations LogisticsSALARY: up to 40,000 AED monthly gross depending on qualifications and years of experienceHIRING COMPANY: A leading distributor and logistic service provider (retailer and wholesaler)LOCATION: Dubai, UAEAVAILABILITY: Can join immediately or maximum 1-monthEMPLOYMENT TYPE: PermanentCANDIDATE PROFILE:Open to ANY nationalsMale/Female, 45 years old and belowEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or any relevant coursesPostgraduate diploma in Logistics Management is an advantageMinimum 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain; at least 3 years should have been head of operations in warehousing or logistics in a similar FMCG environmentProven track record of building a successful logistics team and collaborating with key corporate and supply chain resourcesProven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and developmentStrong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing prioritiesExcellent analytical, problem solving, planning skills and experience with the latest logistics softwareHighly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externallyProficient of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
