Job Description

Purpose and Scope of Position:˙The Head of Event Sales leads the Sales & Events Team in helping Guests to plan best-in-class events at Dubai Golf.˙The Head of Event Sales sets the big-picture direction for their team and works alongside them to ensure our Guest?s experience throughout the planning and execution of their event is made on high standard and satisfaction.˙The Head of Event Sales is responsible for building a strong team - through effective hiring, scheduling, and associate development by driving team engagement.˙The Head of Sales are also responsible for setting up processes, targets for the sales and events team, ensuring customers receive excellent support from the team members and meeting / exceeding sales goals.

  • Promote DG related events such as golf and F&B Events.
  • Responsible for contracting, coordinating, and implementing events and meetings at DG.
  • Identify opportunities in the market to drive banquet revenues.˙
  • Implement solutions to drive revenue and increase client satisfaction.
  • Establish a partnership with each member of the Sales Team to maximize selling time, ensure accurate orders, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and ultimately be a strong contributor to the achievement of department and company sales volume goals.
  • Apply excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, expertise in sales relations, ability to anticipate needs and comprehensive product knowledge to act as a true extension of the Sales Team
˙Main Duties:(Job Related Duties)
  • ˙˙Perform revenue forecasts and win/loss reports that illustrate your team?s overall performance against quotas˙
  • Increase sales by creating new options, innovative advertising ideas, understand/create sales campaigns focused on communicating and nurturing relationships with guests and driving repeat sales.
  • To set target for the Sales & Events team and monitor their activities.
  • Ensure the team has captured the sales details in system without any exception.
  • Conduct market analysis and devise strategies for generating new business
  • Work closely with the with Club Manager and other DG HOD
  • Provide leadership in the day-to-day operations of the sales team, while maintaining focus on the company strategic goals
  • Establish performance goals for the sales team and monitors performance on a continual basis.
  • To work closely and coordinate with Marketing, F&B & GOP team members and members of other departments to ensure policies and processes are effected.
  • Responsible to monitor working practices, and effect changes in policies as and when required to enhance quality, achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible to lead, motivate and manage the Sales & Events team, supervise their activities and coordinate with other departments.
  • Establish processes and policy together with Club Manager and Business Development Manager, create fact sheets, forms, approvals & letters as required.
  • Create system to all post sales transaction to have all transaction registered and tracked, create reports to cover all interaction.
  • Develop, or participate with Senior Staff in the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan

  • Interact with Guests, especially at events, to check on the quality of their experience
  • To ensure that the agreed budgeted targets are achieved or bettered.
  • Develop and manage DG sales & events budgets
  • To increase DG F&B revenue through events across all venues
  • To ensure a prompt, courteous response and follow up to all enquiries.
  • To develop new business by practicing active sales and customer relationship management.
  • Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
  • Participate in the development of new project proposals.
  • Establish and implement short-and-long range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures in his department.
  • To establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, during and post meeting/event, encouraging repeat business.
  • To supervise event bookings from date of booking to departure, including meeting requirements, food and beverage, and audio visual.˙To prepare function sheet accurately and promptly, ensuring all details are communicated to all concerned.
  • To liaise with other Head of Departments for overall event related requirements.
  • Supervise the preparation, issuance and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
  • To invite customer feedback at every opportunity to recommend improvements to the conference and banqueting service.
  • To respond to customer queries or complaints promptly and efficiently, ensuring that mutually agreeable solutions are reached at the earliest convenient time.
  • To report hazards including maintenance.
  • To conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and pertinent departments to confirm all relevant details are communicated.
  • To conduct and/or attend departmental meetings to review event contracts and ensure last minute changes are communicated with appropriate departments.
  • To ensure that all legal permissions are seek in due time for all events.
  • To follow departmental and safety policies and procedures.
  • To develop and maintain contacts for repeat business with travel agencies, destination management companies, commercial houses, corporate clients, professional associations within local, regional and international markets.
  • To participate actively in weekly management meeting.
  • To ensure departmental budgets/ targets/ KPI are met.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Research and develop strategies and plan which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • Research and develop strategies and plan which identify revenue management opportunities
