Job Description

Our government client is looking for an experienced Head of Compliance for this brand-new role. The ideal candidate will need to have SCA regulations experience alongside a strong background in compliance within financial institutions. You must be fluent in both English and Arabic.   • Effective management of regulatory and compliance matters in support of business objectives
  • Operates according to its regulatory and compliance obligations including Data Protection
  • Assist in developing and drafting rules, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory obligations (including FATCA, CRS and ESR) and in observance of international standards, e.g., IOSCO, ESMA, FATF and FSB
  • Coordinate with the regulator on Compliance and regulatory related submissions, notifications, and inquiries
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program and culture within our client?s organization
  • Ensure that AML policies and procedures are reviewed and up to date
  • Review and signoff on CDD checks and ensure that any findings are escalated to the CEO
  • Provide annual AML training to relevant staff
  • Prepare the annual MLRO reports as well as ad hoc reports
  • Responsible for oversight and compliance with respect to data protection duties and obligations under applicable regulation
