Job Responsibilities.To abide by the mission statement of the hotel, the department, and the respective section..Always inspect inventory to ensure that par stock level is maintained, inspects glassware, utensils and dispense-bar for cleanliness and appearance..Oversee preparation of garnishes and stocking of ice bins..Create new and unusual cocktails to delight guests .Mix all drinks according to standard recipes..Correctly record all sales..Maintain registers printed by the appropriate authorities as per Prohibition Act in the relevant format..To remember the regular clients and their personal preferences..Constantly innovate in terms of drinks etc., to keep the bar lively..To train other staff members in bartending, flaring skills and conduct practicals and tests..To ensure that correct debit to the debit card is made of the drinks ordered for consumption by guests..Suggest house specials, different types of cocktails etc..Visually monitor the bar to anticipate any guest needs..Be readily accessible and attentive to guests..Upgrade constantly by acquiring new skills..Ensure quality in all aspects of the job..Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by the Management..You should always be clean shaven and bear a smart appearance in neat and clean uniforms..You will report immediately to your supervisors if there are any complaints..Adherence to the guidelines mentioned in the TPAM and TCOC and thorough adherence to the IT etiquettes is to be followed..To always adhere to personal grooming as per the standards laid down by the hotel and maintain high standards of grooming..In addition to the above functions, any other assignment / job given by the superior authority occasionally or daily are to be performed .Any other duty and responsibility as may be communicated from time to time by persons placed in authority above you..Enabling and adherence of the principles and work practices detailed under HACCP System in the department viz., Food Safety, Hygiene and Cleanliness, Health, Storage etc as applicable to the area of your workplace.Job RequirementsCOMPETENCIESThreshold CompetenciesFluency in spoken & written EnglishSmart, well-groomed and presentableCourteous and confidantEven temperedCore ValuesHonest and ethicalKnowledge in beverages and bar managementDifferentiating CompetenciesTechnical qualificationPrior work experience in recognized star hotels.Computer skillsAbility to handle difficult situations.Extracurricular activities like team sports, stage skills, oratory skills.
