Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world?s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.Reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing, as a Groups Conference & Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Management Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.In charge of meeting, incentives, conferences and exhibitions, work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to drive banquet and meetings sales and exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.You will be also responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Takes inquiries for MICE, Residential Conferences and Groups and converts them into sales
  • Play a key role in terms of yield and pricing
  • Use your personalised approach to manage clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Pre and post communication for all related events- working in conjunction with the meeting and events operational team
  • Contacting clients before they arrive at the hotel to conduct final detailed checks, to be a host on the day of the event, reviewing satisfaction levels and willingness to return and conducts follow up calls to ensure bills are received & correct and to secure the next booking
  • Achieves meeting and event goals by implementing the set strategies provided by theDirector of Sales & Marketing
  • Assists in developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies by analysing current and potential business and identifying potential business
  • Displays consultative and value-added approach to selling
  • Monitors productivity and revenues goals by maintaining sales action plans
  • Bachelor?s degree or equivalent degree in Marketing, Business or Hospitality Management
  • At least 2 years experience in same or similar role in 4 or 5 star hotel industry.
  • Great communication & sales skills
  • Team work ? the ability to work across multiple departments
  • Attention to Detail ? an eye for the small things that make a big difference
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure guest expectations are exceeded by making their experience memorable and creating a real sense of occasion
  • Previous event planning experience for at least 4 years
  • Knowledge and demonstrated history of using hotel systems such as Opera would be an advantage
