The GIS Technician will work within the studio team to provide GIS expertise. Creating maps and customized geographic information systems (GIS) applications and manipulate data to serve a variety of purposes of urban design and planning. Reading and interpreting maps, manipulate and understand digital land data, and manage data entered into a GIS database. GIS technicians utilize Geographic Information System tools to document variables in specific geographical areas. This involves the support of GIS analysts with projects and responsibilities, facilitating the design and develop databases, analyzing information to be used in reports and articles.Prepare and present submissions/reports to support projects and ensure quality deliverables.
