Based in the UAE we are seeking a Geotechnical Lead. You will play a key role in the design phase of some of the most iconic giga programmes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.You will provide leadership of the Geotechnical Team in investigating, analyzing, design inputs and construction supervision of complex projects, working collaboratively with other members of the region and global Tunnels & Ground Engineering (TGE) Teams.This will include a number of deliverables in terms of documentation and drawings, as well as workshops and presentations. In addition, you will be required to liaise & coordinate with a range of other internal disciplines and project teams, and provide the necessary associated inputs to their scope of works, as well as the Client and his various teams.You will provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff, as well as technical review and Quality Assurance on deliverables, as well as liaise with internal Subject Matter Experts (SME) to provide their technically specific review and supporting advice where necessary.You will be required to attend internal and Client progress meetings. You will be required to manage & secure staff resources to deliver the required deliverables to meet the project program.As well as your role within the broader TGE Team, you will assist in the growth of the Company?s ground engineering & tunnelling practice through technical support in delivery of existing projects, collaborating on and influencing the growth strategy for our business, supporting, mentoring and collaborating with our broader TGE practice.Here?s What You?ll Need:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil / Geotechnical or an equivalent ground engineering degree
  • Have 16+ years of experience in ground engineering projects
  • Have proven rock engineering experience
  • Sound experience in various areas of geotechnical investigation, analysis and design. Experience should include slope risk assessment, landslide analysis, site formation, retaining walls and foundation engineering and associated infrastructure projects.
  • Sound understanding of relevant geotechnical standards and guidelines (local and international) and design software within areas of expertise.
  • Have experience of leading and / working in a design and construction environments would be advantageous.
  • Sound interpersonal and technical management skills, demonstrated ability to lead a group of geotechnical engineers in delivering solutions.
  • Positive track record in client management and development in consulting. Ability to build & maintain strong client & team relationships.
  • Experience in planning and execution to achieve business goals.
  • Be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
