Job Description

General Practitioner - ER - (220001FE)DescriptionJob Summary:To apply medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses, diseases, and infections in patients.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and provide general care to patients in outpatient clinics.
  • Admit patients who require special care, investigation and treatment.
  • Examine and talk to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.
  • Make notes, both as a record of treatment and for referral.
  • Liaise with other medical and non-medical staff in the Medical Centre to ensure quality treatment.
  • Work with other doctors as part of a team.
  • Promote health education among patients.
  • Organize preventive medical programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable local regulations and requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining professional quality standards and recommending the improvement of such standards to meet those of the HAAD.
  • Monitoring the quality of medical care provided to patients hospitalized.
  • Work is performed independently, under the general direction of the Internists.
  • Reviews death cases with internists and other physicians.
  • Conducts the periodic health program for company executives.
General Responsibilities:
  • Work in all shifts as scheduled by the Head of the department.
  • Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
  • Strictly adheres to originations regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, OSH, HAAD, JCI and ISO.
  • Support continuous quality improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the services.
  • Participates and contributes in schedule in service training programs like ACLS, BLS, CNEs and CMEs, in house activates, conference or other programs as requested.
  • Exercise effective interpersonal skills in dealing with department staff, associates and managements.
  • Maintain confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen to other in promoting effective communication.
  • Develop through understating of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrate respect for them.
  • Carries out other duties when requested by the head of the department.
  • Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirements
  • Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
  • Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
  • Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports
  • Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
  • Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
QualificationsQualification, Licensure, Education, Experience, Special Skills:
  • Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship
  • At least two years of practice as a GP.
  • Must have license to practice by HAAD.
  • Good command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
