Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYThe role is 100% JIGPC Direct Hire˙JIGPC is a $12 Billion joint venture of three world class companies- Saudi Aramco, Air Products and Chemicals and ACWA Power.The General Counsel position serves as the chief legal advisor for the company and counsels management on all legal matters.˙The general counsel?s main role is to guarantee that the company is working in compliance with the law in every way.˙The incumbent directs legal matters covering Corporate, Finance, Commercial, Litigation/Regulatory, and more using the services of outside counsel as required to complement available internal legal resources.˙The position also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors.˙NATURE AND SCOPEThis individual reports directly to the CEO.˙This individual directly supports senior management and is an active member of the leadership teams.˙PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversight and management of litigation and compliance issues affecting the business operations including but not limited to privacy and data security, intellectual property, anti-corruption and anti-bribery, regulatory and employment matters.˙
  • Identify and assess risk areas and legal needs and challenges. Identify appropriate legal resources to address these.
  • Selection of and relationships with outside counsel.
  • Preparation and oversight of legal budget.
  • Implement and manage corporate , regulatory and Code of Conduct compliance programs.
  • Support˙procurement˙contracting
  • Supervise the Law Department staff
  • Prepare Board and Committee minutes
