Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYThe role is 100% JIGPC Direct HireÿJIGPC is a $12 Billion joint venture of three world class companies- Saudi Aramco, Air Products and Chemicals and ACWA Power.The General Counsel position serves as the chief legal advisor for the company and counsels management on all legal matters.ÿThe general counsel?s main role is to guarantee that the company is working in compliance with the law in every way.ÿThe incumbent directs legal matters covering Corporate, Finance, Commercial, Litigation/Regulatory, and more using the services of outside counsel as required to complement available internal legal resources.ÿThe position also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors.ÿNATURE AND SCOPEThis individual reports directly to the CEO.ÿThis individual directly supports senior management and is an active member of the leadership teams.ÿPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversight and management of litigation and compliance issues affecting the business operations including but not limited to privacy and data security, intellectual property, anti-corruption and anti-bribery, regulatory and employment matters.ÿ
  • Identify and assess risk areas and legal needs and challenges. Identify appropriate legal resources to address these.
  • Selection of and relationships with outside counsel.
  • Preparation and oversight of legal budget.
  • Implement and manage corporate , regulatory and Code of Conduct compliance programs.
  • Supportÿprocurementÿcontracting
  • Supervise the Law Department staff
  • Prepare Board and Committee minutes
