Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
  3. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement in financial performance.
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  5. Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
  6. Prepare and submit tax returns and other compliance documents.
  7. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  8. Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial results.
  9. Provide support during external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall financial performance.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  2. CPA or ACCA certification is highly preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  5. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  8. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
