Job Description

Position: Game Localization Manager (English-Arabic) (MENA)Location: Dubai / Egypt Our team is currently looking for a Game Localization Manager (English-Chinese-Arabic) to work closely with the other localization Teams, translators and project coordinators on all editorial facets of games, including related materials in the Localization Editors given language (Arabic as language used in Middle East region). This will include a high level of knowledge regarding native slang, phraseologies, and nuances of said language.Responsibilities:

  1. Translate, review, proofread, edit, adapt games related content in Arabic language according to existing quality standards in order to make the content accurate, and relatable to the audience for your region.
  2. Work closely as translator with project teams, managers and provide language translation expertise ensuring consistency regarding the use of terminology and style in Arabic for your region
  3. Work closely with game developers, publishing team and localization project managers to understand the project current needs, editing of a wide variety of games-related material, such as in-game text, templates, packaging, press releases, and all other marketing materials in Arabic to ensure high localization quality
  4. Overseeing the Localization process for all games and implement changes as needed for any game being localized in house. Support translators and coordinators as required, editing of grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and language-specific slang in Arabic during localization process, including create and update localization documentation, style guides, glossaries, etc.
  5. Lead and support localization projects as required by reviewing, revising, and proofing all video game related content, Organize and train resources involved in localization projects.
Required Skills:
  1. Preferably three (3) to four (4) years professional experience in localization (Chinese - Arabic / Arabic - English). Experience in the gaming industry is a strong plus.
  2. Arabic Native speaker with Excellent written skills in Arabic and English.
  3. Conversational/fluent in Chinese is a plus.
  4. Gamers with at least 2 years of experience in game translation.
  5. Deep understanding of the region gaming industry, good Knowledge of local culture, and local community.
  6. Demonstrated experience utilizing specialized technical programs to edit files is essential, also a good knowledge of Word and Excel
