???????Deal with the shipment of company?s goods from the supplier until it reaches its end point, the receiver.???????Stay informed and is in touch with the logistics manager who tracks the whereabouts of the freight to be delivered.???????Work hand in hand with other departments to know of any scheduling changes, freight space shortages, and even customer requests.???????Find the best possible rates and airlines to use to forward freights. Continuously try to improve the freight charges by doing research on all existing airlines and prices.???????Develop relationships with transportation companies, the warehouse and account managers to understand their needs as if they are customers.???????Direct, or assist in directing, the allocation of both incoming supplies and outbound, finished products and stay on top of developing transportation technologies to minimize the cost, both in time and cash, to move products.???????Coordinate internal logistics work and build teams among those involved in the in-house movement of supplies, such as warehouse personnel, and with the transportation resources, such as the trucking companies that carry the finished goods.
