Planning to ensure instructions regarding work requirements are relayed to the workforce in line with the work scope outlined in Specification, Tender, Work Instructions, Procedures and Manuals. Issue SMART stretch targets, implement and follow up with workers to ensure compliance to productivity, safety and quality requirements. He should coordinate simultaneously with the Supervision of different repair projects. Having the health and safety as the first priority on daily activities.Support Supervisors and Planners in preplanning, generation of programs and follow up of all jobs in order to utilize optimum resources.Responsible to arrange necessary safety permits in work area.Check and identify all the safety hazards as well as infringements that are being done within the area and raise near miss / hazard spotted forms as required.Ensure monitoring of all activities are carried out as per the approved Dept. Work Instructions.Timely highlighting of discrepancies / critical material from Owner specifications / Tenders.Coordination with the project team for appropriate actions during onboard routine activities.Ensure the following and compliance to Safety and Quality objectives among the team members.Responsible to conduct toolbox talk with the team members on various safety and quality related issues / alerts; ensuring that proper housekeeping is maintained through out the production process.Preparing turn over for next shift including onboard fabrication / erection progress report.Pro-active participation in identifying process errors onboard / in the workshop highlighting and raising the non-conformances through Occurrence Reports and Quality Observation notes. Raise corrective/preventive actions and control implementation of the same.Take the initiative steps towards improvement of the in-process work procedures.Ensuring the safe usage of the Company equipments and adequate control on materials wastage.Prepare materials requisition with defined delivery time to Materials Controllers and follow-up.Monitoring and follow-up of pipe spools status critical for undocking and completion.Verify specific requirements for the materials received against MR (certificates, test reports, etc.)Enhance the communication / interface with other trades thru proper channels of responsibility for prompt responses / actions about onboard safety, quality and productivity issues.Working as a team leader responsible for On-the-Job Training and performance appraisals of the other team members.Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
