Job Description

Job briefThis position is responsible for the development, implementation, measurement, maintenance, and monitoring of Food Safety/Food Defense programs such as HACCP and ISO.Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, monitors and updates facility Food Safety/Food Defense programs.
  • Monitors and verifies facility Food Safety/Food Defense programs.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records for verification of HACCP compliance.
  • Manages regulatory visits, from Municipality and Inspection agencies, if applicable.
  • Directs, plans and conducts internal GMP/Food Safety audits. Verifies and documents required corrective actions for internal GMP/Food Safety audits.
  • Leads Customer and Third Party audits, including communication, follow up actions, and documentation.
  • Provides training for all plant personnel on HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Allergen Control. This includes new employee training as well as annual refresher training.
  • Directs and documents regular Food Defense Team meetings and coordinates efforts of members to accomplish team goals.
  • Reviews and monitors all HACCP deviations to aid in corrective action decision making and ensure corrective actions are completed and documented accurately.
  • Assists the Corporate HACCP/Food Safety Manager with development, maintenance and verification of Corporate HACCP/Food Safety/Food Defense programs.
  • Maintains knowledge of current regulations.
