Whats the RoleIn your role as a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical service and sound engineering judgments regarding the use of Hilti Firestop products. What does the role involveIn this role, you will be responsible for providing internal and external customers with quality answers to technical inquiries regarding the use and/or application of Hilti Firestop products. You will achieve this by providing technical sales support, creating engineering judgments to solve field problems and presenting training materials to customers. As the Fire Protection Engineer with Hilti, you will need to understand and apply approvals and listings for Hilti products correctly in communication with customers. In addition, you will be required to remain current in the knowledge of building codes relative to the application of Hilti Firestop products and research existing fire data to create engineering judgments/recommendations for field applications that are not tested. You will be a key point of contact with internal Hilti stakeholders by providing Fire Protection Specialists with corporate support and relevant product information and supporting the Chemicals Business Unit with the introduction of new products/innovations related to Firestop products. Finally, as a Fire Protection Engineer with Hilti, you will ensure the adherence to relevant codes and Hilti standards in project engineering and ensure the safe and Hilti rules compliant engineering of defined applications. • Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• Experience in Fire Protection engineering is advantageous
• Experience and strong understanding of AutoCAD
• Understanding of the correlation between technical and commercial aspects of engineering work
• Strong analytical, conceptual and implementation skills
• Empathy and ability to work with others in a multicultural environment
• Proficiency in English - written and verbal
• High learning agility
