Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of MEA monthly financials (financial and management)
  • Analysis of variance for the Plan & Forecast & the Pulse.
  • Prepare the quarterly forecasts & yearly Plan for MEA operations.
  • Consolidation reports and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Oversee and manage the workload of the finance team staff and manage their professional development
  • Lead the VAT compliance for GCC region including computation of liability, return filling and refunds on quarterly basis.
  • Stay up to date on changes in legislation and maximize benefits to company in MEA.
  • Maintaining fixed asset system.
  • In conjunction with DC leadership, take the lead in periodic stock count and monthly tracking of stock ageing for E&OE provisions requirement.
  • Perform general ledger accounting for the site, in terms of amortization of prepaid, provisions for the month.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support audit requirements both internal and external by providing required information to auditors and providing assistance as required during the audit
  • Ensure compliance with local and international statutory regulation.
  • Responsible for customer collections, reporting of DSO, Past Due AR, coordinate with inside sales to interact with the customers & resolving issues related to collections.
  • Prepare the monthly Intercompany invoices; provide the required supporting and explanations for increase/decrease in costs. Regularly follow up for the dues from various BU.
  • Engage with the bankers to facilitate sales, through letter of credits, documents through bank, performance bank guarantees etc as needed.
  • Ensure compliance to company CP 229, confirmation of vendor bank account details.
  • Run a monthly vendor listing for changes to the vendor master.
  • Identify and provide solution to potential risks, locally and regionally specifically in relation to banking, finance and taxation.
  • Prepare payment list for invoices due for payment.
  • Address vendor problems either by phone or written correspondence as required
  • Prepare and maintain employee schedules for advances & allowances.
  • Create new internal accounting policies in line with corporate, maintain existing policies and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with the company policy, business unit policy, safety and quality programme requirements and act with the highest level of integrity in all aspects of the position remit
  • Implement the company principles of continuous improvement and 5S in all aspects of activity and contribute to the implementation of operational excellence
  • Company Business System ? champion the use of CBS tools (within the team) to ensure the continuous improvement of the business.
  • Ensure (that all team members) comply with all company policies in all areas of activity including ensuring, as appropriate, that the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley are met.
