Job Description

An established wedding dresses brand is seeking a full-time fashion designer with a proven track record of hands-on experience in making couture wedding dresses. Cutting experience is a plus.Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in making hand beaded wedding and evening dresses.
  • Able to take design direction and input from the design director and convert it onto a drawing and eventually make it a reality using the help of the team.
  • Creative design thinking, experimenting with new material and designs, etc.
  • Sitting with the clients (for customized dresses), taking their input, understanding their dress requirements very well, sketching the design, drawing the patterns, etc.
  • Knowledge in directing the beading and tailoring teams.
  • Cutting experience is a plus.
  • Being up-to-date on the current local and international wedding dress design trends.
  • Going to the market to source the needed fabrics.
  • Going to the fabrics market to explore the laces available to get ideas on what to use for the collection of wedding dresses, etc.
