Job Description

Buyer opportunity for the clothing, accessories & handbags department. Reporting to the Operations Head,supporting in fashion sourcing and category development. You will be involved in brand & product selection, product launches, in-store merchandising, attending & planning buying trips, liaising with Visual, marketing & Store teams, and category management.Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze Consumer buying behaviors and market trends, to forecast buying needs of the company.
  • Maximize sales by sourcing the right product at the right time at the right price.
  • Maximize margin on product by evaluating product according to company guidelines and monitoring price reviews.
  • Travel regularly to visit factories, market as well as attend trade shows to target new suppliers or products.
  • Maintain and build relationships with suppliers and communicate in a highly professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory and ensures sufficient inventory for each product category group.
  • Constantly monitor the stores and ensure that the planogram given is implemented strictly.
  • Periodically visit the market and survey competitors for new better ideas for merchandising and to bring about improvement in the merchandising standards.
  • Conducting competitor analysis and market review on a periodic basis to understand the trends and to develop products/ categories in tune with the same.
  • Visit competitors who carry the same range of products and study their designs, color price.
  • Constant research on new products and develop the same with our existing suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve any issues relating to delivery.
  • Responsible to input accurate cost and selling prices, updating and changing where necessary.
  • Build solid relationships with the Supplier partners
  • Being responsible for handling the commercial negotiations.
  • Lead the engagement, on-boarding, and management of suppliers from a Buying perspective.
