PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITIONThe role of the Events Director is to deliver all events taking place at the Club ensuring a world class delivery. This is a critical role in developing a robust engine that can deliver daily events coming through a variety of sources.TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Director of Events, we rely on you to:? Lead and direct the events team to drive business and achieve revenue goals ? Coming up with suggestions to enhance the event?s success? Meeting budgets and ensuring adherence? Maintaining good and constructive relationships with Members, bookers and organizers ensuring repeat business? Work closely with sales team to drive and expand business? Engage with guests and always look for ways to enhance the service? Work closely with the Club Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure all information is listed in the E Newsletter, Website and all other social media. ? Increase % of weekend business and evening business hours.? Develop, organize and implement events and activities for the Club? To develop a Club Events, sales plan and administer events activitiesOTHER SKILLS? Possess strong leadership and motivational skills; a team player attitude is essential? Possess excellent English communication skills, both written and oral? Possess strong administrative skills, timely project completion, record keeping, monthly reporting, time management and organizational skills? Possess a passion for the industry ? Thorough knowledge of the Hotel and Restaurant industry, knowledge of the Club industry is an advantage? Upholds professional values, ethics and integrity at all times? Has a passion for event management? Must be a confident and tactful? Must be a friendly, helpful and trustworthy leader
