Job Description

  • Ensures that estimates are accurate and responsive to clients? needs.
  • Supervises preparation of cost estimates in quotations and proforma invoices.
  • Participates in client meetings as needed.Ensures that estimating files and procedures are well organized and up-to-date.Schedules and assigns work to estimators.
  • Provides technical counsel, inspects work to ensure accuracy.Personally estimates larger and more complex projects.
  • Supervises preparation of modified cost estimates, project control documents, customers order confirmation, project review checklist, production cost control entry and others.
  • Coordinates between estimation and purchasing and stores depertments for all kinds of materials demand and last between estimation and cost accounting for price and cost coordination.
  • Third Party Process - curving, lamination, Cermic, fritting, sandblasting, polishing, holing, notching etc..Inquire and determine the Third Party Supplier who can process the glass at the earliest possible time considered on the brought out values by estimation department. Instruct estimation department to raise MRF for Third Party Process.
  • Proposes modifications in design and products as appropriate.
  • Coordinates between estimation and purchasing department for float glass reservation, between purchasing and stores departments for all kinds of materials demand and last between estimation & cost accounting for price and cost coordination.
  • Check rejection via NCR from QC dept/ internal rejection from production to ensure the shortage of material is covered up by re ordering. estmation to be informed to raise MRF as required?Manage, coach and develop a high performing cost estimating team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice result.
  • Other duties as assigned.
