Job Description

SummaryAs customer applications engineer, you will be part of FALI, MTC Engineering team. In this role, you will be performing activities contributing to the Analytics Based Maintenance work for the GP7200 installed base in METCIS region and support other product lines as needed. Own the project control activity and drive consistent functional specifications and common processes for projects implementation. Contribute to activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others in the team. Execute standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines.Roles and Responsibilities

• Support the GP7200 installed base and other product lines as needed, including activities such as deriving insights from Analytics Based Maintenance (ABM), field data, shop data, customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration. Maintenance of fleet data, engine removal plans.
• Contributes to the development of analytics models
• At a regional level - Provides technical support and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, etc.) while interfacing with the commercial team. Possesses understanding of the commercial airline markets and customer economic value drivers.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

• For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Engineering/Technology & Regional Customer Applications. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
• For roles in USA - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

• Exposure to working with Analytics Based Maintenance for commercial airline engines.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan and execute programs.
