Job PurposeTo supervise and mentor Senior Technicians, Technicians and Mechanics to carry out Assembly, Disassembly, Cleaning, Inspection, Repairs, refurbishment, modifications, testing and rectification on all types of aircraft engines, engine systems, engine components to a high standard at the EEMC, to hold approval to certify own tasks as well as those directly under the job holders supervision, to certify and release to service work carried out in accordance with Airworthiness requirements and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendation.Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Bachelor Engineering in Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Maintenance, Avionics, Electronics Tech Engineering OR Valid Maintenance Engineering Licence. OR Engine Shop apprenticeship (at least 3 years) and Holder of Engine shop authorisations comparable to an existing EEMC Engine Overhaul Engineer III. Workshops Only: Must hold the relevant workshop approval/authorisation. Work experience: 7+ years in aviation maintenance environment as an Aircraft/Engine Technician with a reputable airline or MRO company. Knowledge/skills: Ability to delegate tasks and lead a team to ensure all work carried out and the progress is aligned to production plan Competent and experienced with reviewing/Understanding/Actioning Airworthiness Directives (ADs) Service Bulletins (SB) Engine Assembly & Disassembly. Experienced and competent in arrival/ Incoming inspections and health checks inclusive of Boroscope inspections, removal and installation of components, external ducts and plumbing, engine mounts and major modules, ability to use measuring equipment and carry out any calculations to confirm serviceability, additionally competent in visual inspection. Complete duplicate inspections or critical task inspections as required. Ability to delegate tasks and lead a team to ensure all work carried out and the progress is aligned to production plan. Competent and experienced with reviewing/Understanding/Actioning Airworthiness Directives (ADs) Service Bulletins (SB) Module Assembly & Disassembly. Experienced and competent in module and sub module disassembly and assembly, inclusive of balancing, stack prediction and ability to use measuring equipment and carry out any calculations to confirm serviceability, additionally competent in visual inspection. Complete duplicate inspections or critical task inspections as required.
