Job PurposeTo carry out effective and efficient repair and maintenance of customervehicles following the approved manufacturers repair techniquesJob RequirementsEducation/Certification and Continued EducationDiploma in Automotive EngineeringIndustrial Technical Institute ITI ( 2 years vocational course) - CertifiedAuto Technician/ Electrician CourseYears of Experience2 to 3 years experience as Electrician for Diploma holder3to 5 years experience as an Electrician for ITI holderKnowledge and SkillsIndustrial Technical Institute (ITI) certified Auto Technician/ElectricianCourse.Vocational Automobile Training CourseDiploma in Automotive EngineeringAdditional technical skills, if any, are an additional advantage.In addition to Electrical skills, should have basic Mechanical knowledge.Trouble shooting and problem solving skillsShould have attended basic technical courses from Vehicle ManufacturingcompaniesEssential Roles and ResponsibilitiesFunctional Roles and ResponsibilitiesCollect job orders and the necessary materials/ tools/ equipment, to carry outthe repairs and maintenance on the customers vehicles in accordance with themanufacturers repair techniques.Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and effective utilization of time allocated forthe repairs. Report to Team Leader of any delays in repairs due tounavailability of parts or any other reason.Ensure all additional repairs are authorized; parts are booked to the repairorder. Incase of warranty repair/ parts exchange program , return removed partto the parts department in the same carton to facilitate audit processes andgetting necessary credit if applicable. Incase of retail jobs keep the oldparts inside the vehicle except batteries and parts which may cause stain onthe interior trim/ carpet of the vehicle.Service personal tools, keep the lifts and work area clean and comply with thehealth and safety standards.Upgrade knowledge by regularly doing web based courses and by attending classroom trainings.Keep all personal tools safe.
