Job Description

Purpose:Manage engineering activities within the Electrical and Instrumentation discipline. Responsible for Instrumentation & Controls and SCADA projects including design and implementation.Responsible for Implementation and roll out of process improvement strategies by developing plans for improving machinery efficiency and effectiveness.Execute the support requests, upgrading, unification and continuous improvements of automation and control systems related to various equipment and machinery in use in Operating Plants.˙˙Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy of digitalization to transform the manufacturing plants to Industry 4.0 using Industrial IoT,
  • Plan, design and implement Data Acquisition System with real-time communication between various devices,
  • Develop drawings, analyses, and procedures to document new designs,
  • Implement PLC based process control and instrumentation package,
  • Lead the design and development of new Control Systems,
  • Upgrade, test and maintain existing systems,
  • Define appropriate instrumentation for production and process control (temperature, pressure, level, weight, flow, motion measurement),
  • Define the utilities capacity requirements for new equipment,
  • Support the continuous operation of industrial control systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems,
  • Manage and support Software Licenses, compliance, agreements, and yearly renewal.
  • Generate coding for CNC, PLC, HMI, and SCADA software,
  • Perform VFD configuration, instrumentation settings and calibration,
  • Support the operating plants in the troubleshooting of Electrical, Automation and Control systems breakdowns,
  • Coordinate and Direct activities of vendors and internal personnel in installation of new equipment,
  • Implement rolled-out upgrades and automation projects,
  • Provide cost estimates on process automation and improvement projects,
  • Prepare Operating/troubleshooting manuals for new projects,
  • Plan upgrade project preparation & implementation phases,
  • Perform on-field supervision of the plant and equipment installation & erection,
  • Perform start-up of electrical systems, equipment, and instrumentation, including FAT & SAT for process and mechanical equipment,
  • Lead the delegated technical team to complete the commissioning projects on time,
  • Compile data and prepare reports for existing and potential engineering studies and projects,
  • Prepare the BOM estimate for machinery development projects to provide as preliminary budget.
  • Follow up manufacturing supplier design development and progress,
  • Comply with relevant safety, quality & environmental control procedures & instructions.
