TITLE: Education Consultant - USA University Graduate NeededLOCATION: DUBAI, UAESalary: 10-14k AED?Are you a Graduate of an Ivy League, or top 30 USA College??Do you want to join a fast growing Educational consultancy that has helped positively impact young people?s lives? Do you enjoy mentoring an extraordinarily diverse group of students??You will join a company with an excellent reputation in the Gulf region in USA University admissions counseling. Your duties will encompass counseling high school students through all phases of the college application process. The exact form these duties take may vary a good deal in practice. In counseling our students, you will work as a team with other counselors, with whom you share responsibility for guiding students through the complicated maze of US college admissions. As needed, you may be asked to cover events, representing our group.?The Educational Consultant?s responsibilities include:?? Guiding students in preparing their college applications?o Conducting internet research on US colleges and universities and assist in development of balanced college listso Updating student data in the Guided Path web portalo Assist students in preparing their college applicationso Revising student applications/resumes/college supplements/personal statementso Creating balanced college listso Creating a roadmap of the requirements for each university and an action plan?? Providing student mentorship?o Encourage students to take on leadership roles at their schools and in their communitieso Nurture their community/service spirito Promote a love of learningo Develop communication and writing skillso Encourage students to reado Providing students with academic guidanceo Guidance on course selection at schoolo Assisting students in choosing a college majoro Creating a standardized testing timeline for each studento Guiding students on pre-college enrichment opportunitieso Researching and advising students on suitable summer programs, courses, or campso Assisting students with their summer activity applicationso Researching and advising students on extracurricular activities, internship opportunities, and out-of-school educational enrichment opportunities?? Assisting other counselors in workshops/classes on specific components of the application process?? Coordinating and assisting in events in support of business development efforts (e.g., school visits and presentations)
