ROLE PURPOSE:The purpose of this role is to create technical drawings based on agreed specifications and calculations. This role works closely with the Senior Designers and Engineers to ensure the details for the project are clear.The draftsman incorporates these specifications into drawings and plans that will be used in the project fit-out and include both joinery and works.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:DESIGN:Responsible for having a clear understanding of the site requirements and any technical issues with the site itself, including structural and engineering issues.Make site visits as required for the purpose of taking/confirming measurements and photographing the space.Responsible for preparing full set of drawings for projects assigned ? including all elevations, requirements, joinery requirements, 3D etc.Prepare material specificationsEnsure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.GENERAL ADMINISTRATION:Monitor emails daily and reply to all emails received on working days by the close of business each day.For emails received over holidays or weekends use own discretion in relation to providing timely and professional feedback to the original sender.Always maintain a professional standard of written and verbal communication.All files and data must be backed up every day to the server.TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION:Ensure regular communication with the Zen Studio Design Team, Engineers, Project Managers and Procurement.Be freely available for team members during working hours.On weekends be mindful of any pending project deadlines and assist as appropriate.
