Job Description

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To study all drawings & routings to ensure the completion of job on time, as per specifications and to the required quality standards in co ordination with Machine shop.
  • ?To ensure dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished Dies are in conformance with specifications, using measuring instruments.
  • Polish die surfaces with tools such as pneumatic and power grinders.
  • Examines standard or previously used dies and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
  • To solve operational difficulties, render technical advice / assistance and to motivate Juniors, Technical Assistants and Machine Operators so as to get the work done in the most efficient manner
  • To ensure availability of supplies required for the given Dies in coordination with the production supervisor so as to avoid delay in completion
  • To conduct the stage and final inspection of the product at required phases and to make necessary records accordingly.
  • Inspect finished dies for proper finish, contour conformity, and defects.
  • To ensure documentation of Die inspection is maintained.
  • Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the section and to recommend improvements to the Production Supervisor
  • To ensure proper documentation of work done and in a manner well accessible every time.
  • To participate in weekly production review meetings.
  • To ensure the upkeep & maintenance, cleanliness and housekeeping of the operational area.
  • Follow company?s HSE guidelines in respect of all operations undertaken.
  • Stay abreast with the market trends and maintain awareness of current design trends and influences. Research into materials and component technologies to scope development opportunities.
  • Perform any other job/task given by the Production Supervisor to accomplish department objectives.
