Job Description

A large organization is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer who will report directly to the DevOps Chapter Lead. In this role, you will own the implementation and automation of pipelines and deployments. You will be responsible for driving change and delivering new technology into the company by moving legacy applications over to the Cloud Platform. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Agile squads in educating them on the new Cloud Platform to ensure the transition is a smooth one. The overall team will work using an Agile methodology delivering work packages in parallel based on the priority of the end customers.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • An expert in DevOps methodology
  • Good infrastructure and security knowledge
  • Facilitating getting the work done across the Agile development teams and other stakeholders
  • Clear internal and external communication, improving transparency across teams and stakeholders
  • Energized by complex problem solving and ability to innovate new solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage client expectations effectively
  • Knowledge on Operating Systems (Windows and Linux)
  • Sound knowledge and application troubleshooting capability on Kubernetes, Openshift and Container Network Interface (CNI)
  • Understanding of Springboot/NodeJS/Python-based microservice development and deployment patterns will be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of Jenkins-based Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CICD) with automation using Groovy or Python scripting.
  • Strong knowledge on Container image management (Docker)
  • Knowledge of DevOps technologies and tools such as Jenkins, Github, SonarQube and Checkmarx would be beneficial.
  • Public Cloud DevOps experience in AWS / AZURE is preferential
