Job Description

Job Title:˙Desktop Support EngineerJob Type:˙Fulltime/OnsiteLocation:˙Abu DhabiNote:˙this position is for our client, and they are located in Abu DhabiResponsibilities:

  • Distribute the Desktops & Laptops to clients users as per the assigned plan and do the data migration from existing Desktops/laptops to new units onsite.
  • Manage & support clients end-user desktop hardware (including desktop computers and printers) and standard desktop applications (including Microsoft office applications, virus protection, and network security)
  • Provide support assistance for resolving issues assigned by the Helpdesk in coordination with the internal team.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, Scanners, and other end-user peripherals.
  • Create alternative methods of completing tasks, software deployments, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function.
  • Responsible to maintain inventory of all Desktop equipments & Peripherals and Participate in hardware and software inventories.
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to follow-up with the reported issues.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, rcomputer conferencing systems, application severs and administrative systems.
  • Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and procedures for upgrades.
  • Monitor the performance of the clients desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting of hardware and software for PCs & Peripherals. And upgrade of PC hardware components such as increase of memory or hard disk size.
  • Upgrade of operating systems and applications such as Windows, Office and other clients applications.
  • Support resources to have knowledge and technical understanding of infrastructure Servers, Operations Systems, Web Applications, Databases, Network, and End Point Security.
1.Other duties as required or assigned by management.2.Provide weekly status reports to IT operations or Unit Head
