Job Description

1. Receive contaminated instruments from the clinical areas for sterilization and return sterile goods to the designated clinical areas.

  1. Perform manual and automatic decontamination of instruments according to accepted Departmental standards of practice:
    • Identify, inspect, assemble and pack decontaminated dental instruments.
    • Demonstrates accurate use of mechanical, chemical and biological indicators.
    • Documents sterilization logs I cycle and maintains daily records.
- Prepares the Dental Central Sterilization and Sterile area with all the necessary supplies needed.3. Maintains professional conduct.4. Ensures availability of all consumable sterile items for the clinic at all times.5. Ensures proper disposal of different waste items, chemical and hazardous materials.6. Ensure safe working environment at all times by effective work practice in compliance with the Dubai Health Authority safety requirements and protocol.
  1. Practice accepted infection control procedures according to the Department and International standards.
  2. Maintain clinical inventory and instrument hand - over check as per departmental procedure and reporting any clinical discrepancies immediately.
9. Provide guidance and supervision to other dental sterilizer as appropriate. 10. Undertake any other duties assigned.Two (2) years Diploma in related Medical Science course
