Job Description

The Demand Planner plays a crucial role in the retail and wholesale industry by forecasting product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, market knowledge, and strategic thinking to align supply with customer demand effectively. The Demand Planner collaborates with various departments, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to create accurate forecasts that drive business decisions. A successful Demand Planner not only enhances customer satisfaction through timely product availability but also contributes to the overall profitability of the organization.Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze historical sales data to identify trends and patterns in product demand.

  4. Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  5. Prepare and present demand planning reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  6. Utilize demand planning software and tools to streamline forecasting processes.
  7. Conduct regular reviews of forecast accuracy and implement improvements as needed.
  8. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products based on demand forecasts.
  9. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align demand planning with overall business strategies.
  10. Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to refine demand planning strategies.
