Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DBA to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring databases efficiency and security.Duties and Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure availability, capacity and performance of the databases that support existing systems.
  • Installing, upgrading, configuring, testing, and migrating of database.
  • Developing, managing, testing, and carrying out backup and recovery plans/processes for various sites.
  • Ensure that the associated hardware capacity allocated to database provision is sufficient.
  • Management of databases, including change requests and troubleshooting incidents.
  • Ensure that documentation is maintained and kept up to date in line with standards and policies.
  • Managing all database related access permissions and privileges.
  • Performing database normalization and optimization.
  • Working closely with IT-related projects with related departments.
  • Communicating regularly with technical, application and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
