Job Description

Overview of the roleData Protection Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the Data Protection Platforms and Implementing best practices. Accountable for data protection of systems hosted in Cloud & On-Premises and responsible for securing critical data as per the organization data protection policy.Candidate is expected to provide domain expertise and collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve common goals and deliverables.ÿÿÿÿWhat you will do

  • Ensure organization data is adequately protected, and recoverable at any point of time.
  • Installation, Configuration and Administration of Data Protection Platform (NetBackup)
  • Ensure high availability of the Data protection platform (On-Premises & Cloud)
  • Conduct periodic recovery test, to validate the effectiveness of backup and recovery process.
  • Periodic review of backup requirements with application owners.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of data protection platform including architecture, policies, and configuration.ÿ
  • Continuously monitor the Data Protection Platform capability, innovations/improvements, and propose adequate optimizations, modernizations, and enhancements.ÿ
  • Ensure all the tape media are vaulted securely and readily available, if required for data restoration
