Job Description

Our ClientA Global Leader in the Financial Services spaceOn their behalf we are looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer (Consultant) on a 12 month extendable contract. They need to be technology savvy and hands-on with Data Engineering on AWS Cloud.Your Responsibilities

  • Design robust, secure, and optimized AWS architecture to implement large scale enterprise data solutions and applications.
  • Build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS platform using services like API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Glue and Athena.
  • Develop and deliver AWS cloud solutions in areas such as microservices, serverless, etc.
  • Follow security guidelines to develop secure and compliant Cloud services by working with Risk and Security team.
  • Contribute to Solution/Technical architecture, including Big Data, Analytics, database management in the cloud, event-driven, microservices, or serverless designs.
  • Contribute in implementing Data solutions using AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, AutoScaling, CloudFormation, DMS, Kinesis, Kafka, CDC processing Redshift, RDS, Cloudtrail, CloudWatch, Docker, Lambda, Glue, Athena etc
  • Contribute to Market Watch and Studies involving Technology stack available in the industry for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing and curation: Kafka, HVR, Talend, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.
Your Qualifications
  • Total 10+ years of experience.
  • 5+ yrs experience as Data/Solution/Technical architect
  • 5+ years? experience using the AWS services namely AWS Data Sync, AWS s3, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, AWS Redshift, AWS Quick sight, AWS CloudWatch
  • In depth Spark with Scala, Python and SparkSQL interfaces. Familiar with parameters required for tuning and logging
  • In-depth hands-on experience on AWS Glue with workflows to build ETL pipelines, Automate Scheduling
  • In-depth hands-on experience on S3 with Python API (boto3)
  • In-depth hands-on experience on Athena SQL as well as Python API (boto3)
  • Working knowledge of Redshift database
  • Familiarity with Step functions and Lambda. Lambda at least Python SDK is a must
