Reporting to the Manager ? Local Services, your main role is to effectively handle customs documentation process.Specifically, your responsibilities includes the following:

  • Efficient handing of Mirsal 2 declaration for Import, Export and Cross Border shipments and Calculating and declaring/paying customs duties & VAT through system
  • Review the documents received from customer(s) and ensure necessary documents are in place to prepare Customs Documentation as per local authority regulations. Coordinate with Team Leader and Manager ? Local Services for control authority inspections, wherever applicable.
  • Review and process the different type of customs forms for Import for Re-Export, Customs Inspections, Gate Passes, etc..
  • Effectively maintain CDR and standing guarantee accounts within stipulated time frame and avoid fine/penalties.
  • Capture VAT payment information in the Tracker and submit to the respective desks on monthly basis.
  • Update the declaration number and customs duties and BOE charges on a daily basis in EDI Cargo wise (Internal System) for each & every job
  • Update to Team Leader of any declarations Errors on an immediate basis and assist Team Leader to take corrective steps
  • Keep tracker of transactions on daily basis
  • Coordinate with Messengers for Collections & deliveries to/from customers
About You:The successful candidate should possess a Degree or Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics. You should have at least 2-3-years? experience as a Freight Coordinator in the UAE. Experience in customs documentation process is mandatory!You should have the ability to build and maintain friendly, warm relationships with customer.
