Cost Estimator (Events) in Dubai (m/f/d)* Dubai* Work experience* Senior, very experienced * published till: 2022-05-06Your tasksIn this newly created role, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Director of Business Unit ? Event Technology. During these exciting times of growth, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: * You will be based in Dubai, for you to perform or coordinate effort for cost estimate preparation, and estimating oversight for N&M * Preparing Check Estimates to compare with Operated by Others (OBO) Operator-prepared submittals. * Assist in setting up the baseline cost control system (internal and external) and documentation for the project * Prepare forecasts, cost trend reports, and monitor cost and budget forecasts on multiple projects on the same work site * Establish systems that are consistent with the requirements for effective cost control and reporting during the life of the project and suitable for future data retrieval * Monitor and control the asset and inventory utilization; refine the strategy and stock levels based on the findings.* Ensure sufficient and timely asset and inventory maintenance, service, updates, and upgrades together with the Head of Equipment and other relevant stakeholders.Your profileFor you to succeed in this role, you must have: * Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Finance and/or equivalent experience * Proven experience as a Cost Engineer, Cost Controller or Project Accountant in Events * Experience setting up cost budgets and forecasting, particularly in major commercial projects * Excellent written and verbal communications skills * A self-starter, goal setting mentality with an established skill set in solution and relationship* Advanced competency in MS Office Suite * Trusting and partnership-based cooperation at eye level* Interesting jobs in a diverse, international environment* An innovative and growth-oriented company with a matrix organisational structure and an open corporate culture* Further training opportunities and support in acquiring further qualifications as well as opportunities for further development in new technologies Please note, we are shortlisting and interviewing before the closing date.
