The role of the Coordinator is to support in the development of world-class, fun, authentic, surprising and engaging events and experiences that generate visitation and repeat visitation opportunities for Expo 2020.We are seeking a Coordinator to support the LEA Functional Area of the Programming Department in the oversight and curation of our cultural events programme. The coordinator will have a strong knowledge of UAE and GCC traditions, be aware of cultural sensitivities and will be up to date on local cultural events and trends within the region.?The main responsibilities of this role will include:- Collaborate with the larger programming team to develop exceptional events and experiences that generate visitor engagement and drive repeat visitation opportunities for Expo 2020;- Support an overall strategy of daily, weekly, monthly and one-off experiences and events to be hosted during the Expo period focusing on trends, cultures and popular activities from the GCC region taking into account the programming calendar, visitor numbers and profiles within the available venues/public spaces;- Act as a cultural representative for the LEA team in terms of analyzing event proposals from a cultural sensitivity and appropriateness perspective Support the programming team in the management and communication with third-party programming contractor and supporting agencies;- Assist in project planning, management and development of cultural programme at Expo 2020;- Research and keep up with local events and trends in the region;- Represent LEA team on cultural traditions;- Recommend UAE/GCC cultural events and activations both traditional and contemporary to ensure Expo 2020 programme reflects the spirit of the UAE and the wider region.
